Preparation
Pep® plus syrup: Each 5 ml syrup contains Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate USP 27.45 mg equivalent to elemental Zinc 10 mg, Thiamine Hydrochloride (B1) BP 5 mg, Riboflavin (B2) BP 2 mg, Nicotinamide (B3) BP 20 mg and Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (B6) BP 2 mg.
Pep® plus tablet: Each tablet contains Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate USP 27.45 mg equivalent to elemental Zinc 10 mg, Thiamine Hydrochloride (B1) BP 5 mg, Riboflavin (B2) BP 2 mg, Nicotinamide (B3) BP 20 mg and Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (B6) BP 2 mg.
Indication
Zinc is essential for the correction of Zinc deficiency problems like growth retardation, decreased taste and smell, alopecia, dermatitis, diarrhea, immunological dysfunction, failure to thrive etc. Vitamin B-complex aids in energy utilization from food, helps in proper functions of nervous system and facilitates RBC formation.
Contraindication
Zinc & Vitamin B-complex is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to the constituents of this product.
Dosage & Administration
Pep® plus syrup: Adults & > 12 years of age and above: 10 ml (2 teaspoonful) 2 to 3 times daily (oral).
Children (3 to 11 years): 10 ml (2 teaspoonful) 2 to 3 times daily (oral).
Infant (6 months to 2 years): 5 ml (1 teaspoonful 1 to 2 times daily (oral).
Pep® plus tablet: Children (7 to 12 years): 1 to 2 tablets daily (oral).
Adult & > 12 years of age and above: 2 to 4 tablets daily (oral).
Side Effect
Pep® plus is generally well tolerated and no significant side effect is reported.
Precaution
Drug should be discontinued to the patients with hypersensitive to Vitamin B-complex.
Drug Interaction
Zinc reduces absorption of Ciprofloxacin, Levofloxacin, Moxifloxacin. Absorption of Zinc is reduced by oral Iron and vice versa. Pyridoxine reduces the effects of Levodopa.

Pep plus syrup: Each bottle contains 100 ml syrup.
Pep plus syrup: Each bottle contains 200ml syrup.
Pep plus tablet: Each airtight HDPE container contains 30’s tablets.
Use Pregnancy Lactation
Zinc sulfate is pregnancy category C, safety for use in pregnancy has not been established.
Vitamin B-complex is safe in pregnancy.
Overdosage
Zinc Sulphate is corrosive in overdose. Symptoms are corrosion and inflammation of the mucous membrane of the mouth and stomach.

Store at room temperature (Below 25°C). Away from light and moisture.
