Dosage & Administration
The cream should be applied by gently rubbing into the skin with the finger once or twice daily for 14 days or as directed by the physician.
Avison cream is well tolerated, even to sensitive skin. Burning sensation, pruritis and reddish skin have rarely been reported.
Long-term continuous steroid therapy should be avoided since adrenal suppression can occur, particularly when infants or children are treated or when occlusive dressings are applied. Moreover, long term therapy with corticosteroids can cause skin lesions such as atrophy, telangiectasia and striae.
Significant drug interactions with the topical agents have not been noted.
Avison Cream: Each pack has a tube containing 10 gm of the cream.
